Mission

The Latinx Student Assembly is one of ten cultural assemblies under USC’s Undergraduate Student Government-Program Board focused on fostering pride in Latinx heritage and culture. It serves as a funding and advocacy umbrella organization that oversees 21 Latinx-oriented member organizations that range from pre-professional to Greek.

LSA at USC was founded in 1983 and is composed of an executive board of 12 elected officers and one representative from each member organization. LSA receives funds from the Undergraduate Student Government and allocates funds to member organizations. LSA seeks to bring together students of Latinx heritage, educate the USC student body and make positive contributions to the surrounding community. For the past 26 years, LSA has been a source of support and a voice for the Latinx student population on campus.

The types of events hosted by LSA vary from focuses on education, advocacy, community service, and social events. General Body Meetings take place every Tuesday of the semester in TCC 350 at 5pm. There, assembly directors discuss issues and topics that they deem important or prevalent in our community/society.
